Xinyi Jiang
Xinyi Jiang (They/Them) is a therapist-in-training at the Bloomington Center for Connection who speaks Mandarin and English. They are a graduate student in the Mental Health Counseling program at Indiana University Bloomington. Xinyi brings a warm, thoughtful presence to their work with clients.

Fellowship Therapist
Originally from China, Xinyi offers a valuable perspective and is deeply committed to culturally responsive, socially aware care. They offer therapy in Mandarin or English. Their therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centered values that include empathy, authenticity, and trust in each person’s capacity for growth.
Since beginning their training in the U.S., Xinyi has developed a strong interest in Relational-Cultural Theory and continues to explore how connection, power, and cultural context shape the healing process.
Xinyi approaches therapy with a gentle curiosity, meeting clients with empathy and an openness to the stories that shaped them. Because of their own experience, they understand that holding more than one cultural home can carry quiet exhaustion, unspoken pressure, and moments of deep loneliness. With warmth and care, Xinyi walks alongside clients as they make sense of their experiences. They help clients rediscover connection, voice, and a sense of belonging that honors every part of who they are.
Xinyi creates a respectful and collaborative space, particularly for individuals navigating marginalization or identity-related challenges. Whether someone prefers therapy in Mandarin or English, Xinyi believes everyone deserves to be seen, understood, and supported in relationships—and that healing happens in connection.
