48 new cards about growth in connection
For Relational-Cultural Theory’s 50th Anniversary, we are issuing a special edition of the Toybox. Filled with 48 cards, including several brand new ones from our Maureen Walker’s When Getting Along is not Enough, Nathanial Smith’s Queering Connection, and our 2024 Play Summit.
The RCT Toybox is a deck of 48 cards that define, illustrate, and connect important concepts central to Relational-Cultural Theory. Each edition adds some new ones, exploring RCT as a true Work In Progress. RCT concepts were originally conceived by founding and continuing scholars at the International Center for Growth and Connection, the Jean Baker Miller Training Institute, Wellesley’s Stone Center, and Monday nights in the living room at Jean Baker Miller’s home. They continue to grow through excited discussions across the world, applying these ideas to everything from organizational design, literary concepts, community organizing, play, healing, and as always, connection.
Preordering allows you to receive your cards from our first shipment of card decks, and by doing so, allows us to order enough cards to really get the ball rolling! It also saves you 30% off the retail price and we’ll cover the shipping (in the US).
